What are typical foods, clothing, recreation sports, music, amd make-up in our generation (today)??

I saw this great show on The Discovery Channel a while back, about how technology had advanced the sports of surfing and skateboarding.
Skateboarding - the wheels used to be metal, which didn't work very well, then they made clay or ceramic ones, which allowed a little better control, but wore out quickly. But modern skateboarding would not be possible without the advancement in the materials of the wheels they use now.
I don't skateboard, but apparently a lot of the moves that are more recent were not possible with the old style of wheels.
Surfing - Originally, surfboards were made out of wood, which was heavy and took skill to shape correctly. Now they're being made out of - fiberglass? - or something, and the technology has advanced in changing their density and shape until it's optimal for surfing.
And just like skateboarding, there are some newer moves that were not possible with the old boards.
I'm sorry I can't remember more details, but I hope I've given you a place to start looking!
Soccer! They play it in the streets, on the beach, anyplace they have enough open space... I don't recall seeing any other sport played there actually! Also, it's in all the cafes and jerseys, pictures and memorabilia can be bought in most souks.

Sports and recreation started as a pastime, but have now evolved into a test of our strength and ability as a person. The amount of money associated with sports and recreation have also distorted them from enjoyment and social activity to full time jobs and financial rewards.
Little League and youth soccer started as a way for kids to make friends, learn the rules of a game, and have fun. Now, with the explosion of Sports TV and college schloraships and the potential millions in the NBA, MLB, etc, sports is a full time job. Even as young as junior high school, kids are sent to summer camps and private clubs to practice and get better so they can hopefully recover their parents financial investment in the way of a college scholarship.
The behavior and morals of sports heroes also have an affect on our society as a whole. It started simply enough in sports with show boating and taunting and has elevated to trash talking and humilation of the opponent. Now players say that he was disrespected and their manhood is challenged if an opponent doesn't give up as soon as they walk on the field. That phrase has so permeated the American culture that people today demand respect just for existing instead of earning respect for accomplishments and leadership.
While I do not think sports should be abolished in our society, their role just needs to be reassessed. Sports can teach determination, diligence, and skills that can be applied to science, music, art, and engineering, just as much as a shoe endorsement contract.

Unless you have tons of money, and I mean tons. The North Shore is outrageously expensive. The south shore isn't as bad, but still pricey. The middle isn't as bad, but can have some bad parts (Uniondale, Hempstead, etc.).
One place that's nice on the North Shore is the Manorhaven section of Port Washington, if you are lucky you maybe able to get a home at around 750K (excellent for the North Shore). The School district is Port Washington and is excellent. Transport into NYC is good too, the Port Washington Branch of the LIRR doesn't go through Jamaica, which makes the commute a breeze.

you could have open houses that spotlight the different activities you offer...make it a family day\night in your town...good luck to you
I have no idea about Tabuk. But, I do know that the expat compounds here are very safe and secure. Some of them don't even allow Saudis inside as guests. Your compound will most likely have a swimming pool and a playground for the kids. I'm sure there are many families living there, so hopefully your children will be able to make friends quickly.

A good thesis problem is how contact sports such as football causes concussions and problems down the road after the athletes retire. About a few years ago, the medical board did a review with several players that retire from the NFL. In that study, most of those players have problems with either concussions or other problems like severe muscle pain and even neck problems. I hope this helps you out.
